advocating high doses of the magic mushroom was mckenna's method of operation. why? the mushroom gets inside you and stays put, thus the symbiosis begins. at low doses it is tickle and giggle, no more. the human is the eater until a high dose embeds the alien spore mind inside, then the mushroom becomes the eater. who eats who? it is a saprophyte and when we eat it our human self gets to be food for the alien spore mind. the over-species of the mushroom can not be named by anyone for everyone. it's not like a prophet or a savior or a guru or a god where groups of humans can latch onto it and make it become something which it is not. mckenna advocated high doses to get the ball rolling so to speak. however, one who eats must listen closely to the symbiosis, and this includes the human as well as the mushroom. the mushroom looks out from within us and we feed the mushroom our logic, our creativity, our emotions, and our so called divinities.
